Biography
I grew up in an army family that moved often. We lived in Minnesota, Virginia, Kansas, California, Illinois, and Paris, France. From first grade through twelfth I attended nine different schools. I went to college in Massachusetts and studied biology. My husband and I lived in England for a while. Afterwards we moved to Indiana where I studied microbiology.
We have three children who grew up in western Massachusetts. Now there are seven grandchildren.
For a number of years I worked as a research technician in biology laboratories, often part time. When our own children were much older I decided to work with young children. I went back to school for more training. Then I found classroom assistant and teaching jobs in Vermont, Massachusetts, Florida, and Wisconsin.

Madison, Wisconsin, is our home now. Keeping us company are two adopted cats, Big and Little.
